Judging Is So Difficult by Yuta

Recently, freshmen of my club must become a chief umpire of matches. Still now, we experienced an assistant umpire, however the chief umpire must do a lot of things during a match. One of the most difficult and important thing is judging. Of course, assistant umpire must judge which safe or out. But difference between the chief umpire and the assistant umpire is that the chief umpire should judge wider range than the assistant and the chief umpire have power that overturn judgment of the assistant. In short, chief umpire have final decision-making authority and responsibility that go ahead with maches smoothly. Consequently, we can't make a wrong judgment.

  1. I have been both umpires.
It was too difficult for me.
I was usually really nervous before a match.

I think umpires of matches need to have confidence in it.
